Anyone remember Eudora and RedRyder?
@Archimage @odd Best email client of all time IMO, I still have fond memories of that app. My favourite before I started using that was Pine.
@pimoore I used it in the (distant) past, but having access to the M$ Office pack sadly made me choose it instead.
@Archimage I also used to use Eudora, back in the 1990s, I guess. A superior mail client. But, like @odd, I was eventually seduced by the mail client that came on my computers (in my case, the Mac Mail app). Sigh.
@Archimage used Eudora at work for years in the until we moved away. Good, simple email client that I miss when dealing with the bloated mess that is outlook.
@philipbrewer @Archimage @odd I loved Eudora so much I wrote weekly tips on how to use it. I see my first Eudora Tip was #1/1-Sept-1999. Looks like the final one was 5 years later: Eudora Tip #227/01_Sept-2004. Such a powerful app.
@Miraz In a sense it does, but not so much…
Eudora /juːˈdɔːrə/ is an email client that was used on the classic Mac OS, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems. It also supported several palmtop computing platforms, including Newton and the Palm OS. Eudora was succeeded by Eudora OSE. In 2018, after being years out of print, the software was open-sourced by the Computer History Museum.[2]
