Just now pondering at a very shallow level, whether there’s a role at future Micro Camps for a brief pre-Camp Zoom checkin session where we can discover we need to download a newer version, have forgotten our passwords, how to raise our Hand, Un/Mute, reply to people in chat and other techie things.
@Miraz Could be run by a volunteer. Handy for those of us who only use Zoom rarely and potentially inclusive for those who've never used it.
@Miraz I had that same thought after the first camp, had all the great intentions to do something productive and then... yeah, life and stuff.
I love it. I think it would also be cool to put together a basic guide to help folks get up and running. A camp starter pack!
@SimonWoods A camp starter pack! Excellent idea. Shall you and I (and anyone else interested) make that happen, starting maybe next week after Micro Camp is over and the dust has settled?
@SimonWoods If we had say 4 volunteers we could each do a 15 minute session across timezones, so everyone would have a chance to get their testing etc out of the way at a reasonable time of day.
@Miraz I realised, not ten minutes before it started, that I hadn’t yet downloaded Zoom to my new MacBook. It’s a good idea.
