The spare tyre for our car sits up and under the body of the car, under the front seats. Myself and the tyre guy took quite a while to figure this all out.
@joshua Had the same problem on our people mover a few years ago. We resorted to an Internet search to find out where it was and how to get at it. Ours is basically below the floor behind the driver's seat. You have to lift the carpet to get at the mechanism that lowers the wheel on a cable. Weird.
