Heh, November 1999, when I had long hair and thought having the camera automatically date stamp photos was a good thing.

@Miraz Oh, such a wonderful smile and photo! I couldn't help but smile in response - thanks for making a guy in a tiny house half a world away happier this morning. π
@Miraz Love your smile! It looks like someone just made a funny comment. π
That is a photo made with a digital camera isnβt it? Pretty early on for that. I got my first digital camera in 2000, and I thought I was an early adopter.
@toddgrotenhuis π That's standard Aotearoa New Zealand date format: day month year.
@Miraz After looking through slides last night and struggling to remember where some were, I think date and time are a great idea. BTW, a lovely, natural photo.
@odd There's no metadata on the photo but I did get my first digital camera in November 1997 β a Fuji DX-5. I see I got a Canon A20 on 01 November 2001. Ah β¦ looks like I bought a Kodak DC240 Digital Camera in October 1999, so it must have been that one. [Miraz notes these cameras and dates in her Big List of Notes.]
@crossingthethreshold @Miraz @aa I like the idea of date stamps on photos in much the way I like physical stamps.
@Miraz @toddgrotenhuis Ah yes, the date format of all right-thinking and wonderful people. π
@Miraz Aha! I should really keep a big list of notes myself, including serialnos. I know my first digital camera was bought in ca June 2000, and it was a Olympus (something).
