@lmika funnily enough I had a memory of similar situation years ago, where I couldn’t convince the caller I wasn’t who they thought I was. But now with advent of smartphones, phone calls are becoming less and less and those random interactions.

@tomc That's true. I actually can't remember the last time I received a wrong number like this. I'm guessing it would have been a couple of years ago.

@lmika Kind of you! The phone company used to recycle phone numbers when someone dropped their account, and we went through a long period of getting calls from long-lost acquaintances of our number's former owners.
