Utterly bewildered that to share with my family an app I’d just bought on the App Store I had to go to iTunes/Music‼️⁉️ I’ve been using Macs and Apple stuff for how long now — 20+ years and I found that process completely confusing and frustrating. Bought Grocery for shopping.

@Miraz Yeah, I've found there's a lot of things like that in MacOS that need refreshing. The one that gets me is in order to share my iPad screen on a Zoom meeting, I need to start a QuickTime movie recording. Really suprised there's not an easier way to do this.

@lmika Bizarre! I floundered around all over the place, reading Help materials etc but clearly missing the key item that I needed to look in Music.

@Miraz @lmika Huh that's odd. I found it via the App Store. Certainly not as easy as on iOS or through System Prefs but I didn't have to use the Music app at all.

I'm on Monterey, if that counts.

@SimonWoods @lmika Weird. I'm also on Monterey. Are we talking about the same thing: sharing an app with a family member? Not just purchasing.

@Miraz Ohhhh I thought you meant family sharing, for sharing the purchase (if the app supports it). Do you mean sharing a link to the app?

@SimonWoods No, sharing the purchase. Anyway, I have it sorted now and don't want to explore further. I'm glad you found it more easily than I did. 😀
