Folks have rights: * get drunk * drive vehicles * smoke * work in an office * remain unvaxed * work in proximity with other humans

and responsibilities to obey laws: * don’t drive drunk * don’t smoke in the office * don’t work in people-focused jobs if unvaxed

Protests continue.

@Cheri I’m becoming quite concerned about the rabble occupying the grounds outside our Parliament, and now gathering in other parts of the country too. Originally opposed to mandates that prevent unvaxed from working in certain jobs they now include alt-right and increasing numbers of assorted unhinged groups.

@pimoore @cheri It troubles me that this goes far beyond protesting against a policy (fair enough!) and into the arena of overthrowing the rule of law and government. The original ‘cause’ is being subverted by the thugs who want to demolish society itself. It must be tricky for police to handle without escalating to a point where the ‘protestors’ riot and storm the Parliament.

@Miraz I think if you dig a bit the “original cause”, was always this.
