@Miraz Could be! The idea that you’re not trying for a huge market share, just a dedicated enough audience, might make those stories feel more viable to producers now than in the past. I know shows like Firefly got cancelled for lower ratings than some of the biggest streaming hits have, so maybe a fragmented audience also allows streamers to feel good about producing a greater diversity of projects.
