I’m giving Publii a try, with good results so far:
Publii is an open-source static site generator for every skill level, from beginner to developer.
Now I know it works I’ll start building up the site. 😀
@Miraz Whoa, wasn’t aware of Publii… Looks very impressive. Look forward to your thoughts and updates on it. I’ve been itching for a WP alternative for awhile.
@alongtheray Yes, I looked around the last couple of days. I have very simple needs for this site: no stats, no fancy schmancy thingumajigs, no social whatnot. I really just want a good old-fashioned site with text, photos and a bit of very very simple and plain design. And I want files, not a database. Seems pretty good so far.
@Miraz Looks great. I have somehow managed to control myself to not “try” Publii. I downloaded, installed and uninstalled rightaway – not because it is bad. Rather I am afraid it might be good :D
