Good grief! USPS won’t carry mail to NZ for a while:

… “unavailability of transportation”.

“refrain from mailing items … until further notice”.

Disrupted USPS services to NZ include … airmail and surface mail.

@Miraz Hmm, looks like USPS is suspending mail to Australia as well.

@Miraz but fedex, ups, dhl et al will continue - I think this also reflects on the inadequacy of USPS

And it’s not new - they lost two identical Amazon boxes last year - deliver - deliver - deliver ,,, said the emails … and then - they just fell off the radar.

I then used you post - had the stuff in under a week.

@Miraz the full USPS list … if ever there was any doubt about the importance of NZ and OZ ( 2 of the 5 eyes) to the US .. there is no longer!

@timapple I understand the investment problem - like the uk’s Royal post I seem to recall that the Govt also hampers them from real innovation - ‘that’s not what you do’ … kind of like when bt got into cellular and was forced to float out O2 which is now ironically owned by Spain’s Telefonica !!!

The border hand off is a good point - but that reason would suggest that it is the problem of those countries - but it seems to be more to do with the shipping lines.
