For those you into TO DO apps, which one do you find is the most reliable from a sync perspective? Reminders is good to sync quick but the app isn’t great for trackpad support and omnifocus is now failing to sync across devices reliably.

@LJPUK Things has been super reliable for me over the last couple of years. I have tried other and flipped back and forth between Todoist and Omnifocus, but Things always beats them in my opinion.

@samclarke Things is ok but not very accessible unfortunately. I have to bump the system font up and its not supported in the Things app.

@gr36 I'm using the web app in another tab right now, slick app. Sync solid across devices?

@LJPUK it is a weird one to get into for whatever reason, at least for me. at work Im on a windows PC and that vs Todoist I find it a little better, especially with its keyboard shorcut to add tasks no matter where even if I am out of the app and the ever present widget.

@LJPUK always found Todoist and OmniFocus to be solid for syncing. I keep trying other apps but always return to OmniFocus.

@RossA thanks, I’m testing todoist and seems pretty solid. Can’t seem to have OmniFocus sync reliably between my iPhone and iPad for some reason. I’ll give Todoist a shot for a bit.

@LJPUK I know not the typical suggestion but the sync with Microsoft To Do has been very good. If you have not checked them out recently, give them a go. Have improved a lot👍

@MereCivilian I use this on my work PC. It’s a nice app but I miss the Widget.

@LJPUK @LJPUK I hear the widget is coming :)

I use the reminders widget for to-do as To Do’s backend is activeSync so the tasks show up on Reminders as long as long as you add your Microsoft account to your iPhone. 6:36 am

@MereCivilian I was happily using ToDo for a while then something glitched and it duplicated all my items. Not a great time.

@mcg that doesn’t sound fun at all. Was this recent? I have been using it with work stuff for some time now and it’s been great. Work forces me to use outlook so To Do works well. It’s also the only one work supports. Todoist is actually blocked at work.

@MereCivilian I think what happened is I opened the older MS todo thing built into Outlook web(I think) and that is what caused it. Otherwise it's not a bad app at all.

@MereCivilian cool, didn’t know you could do that. Might be time to try it again.

@MereCivilian just tested but can’t seem to do a repeating reminder in one step. Looks like I need to create the item then edit later to make it repeating. Maybe I’m missing something.

@LJPUK I do all the task creation in the To-Do app. Reminder features are limited to saving tasks through SIRI and using the reminders widget to view tasks. Since on both occasions, reminders and to-do are using the same active sync database.
