Currently reading: Wise. Finding Purpose, Meaning and Wisdom Beyond the Midpoint of Life by Frank Tallis 📚

“We remember only a tiny fraction of existence. We have forgotten most of what it is like to be alive, long before we die. Oblivion starts seeping into our heads as soon as we are self-aware.” (p.44)

@writingslowly I need to add that to my reading list. The quotation is scary accurate. Trying to share personal history at 81, I am deep in my own myth.

@Marty “deep in my own myth” is a great way of putting it. I’m writing a memoir and this resonates.
