As streaming becomes more pervasive, the sad reality is that every track, every artist, every album is reduced to just data, served up by the algorithm. It only continues to devalue our emotional relationship with the creators.
@MDonaldson I’ve stopped streaming. Been much happier ever since. If I can’t afford some music, then I save it up for it and enjoy it that much more.
@simonwoods — Absolutely. I have a weekly budget, try to purchase/support at least one release. it feels good to give a little back. I wrote about this intention a couple of years ago here.
