I ran out of energy and useful space in the shed so the last, small bits of firewood just got thrown in haphazardly. 4 cubic metres of firewood in the shed!

@Miraz Well done! It is good exercise if it wasn’t so monotonous. 4m3 ought to last for a while.

@Miraz I'm just thinking about the amount of BBQs that you can have going forward.

@odd I'm absolutely whacked! Should see us through winter with some left over for next year. We also have some bits of fresh pine from a neighbour's tree felling, so that should dry nicely for next year too.

@Miraz one of my first jobs as a teenager was working in a firewood yard. I was in charge of stacking cords of wood in trucks to fulfill orders. I'm still scarred 🤣

@alexink What!!? No, no chopping involved! I just put the pieces of firewood into the shed. There were a couple of bits that will be too big for our woodburner but I have a small electric chainsaw that will sort them out.

@Miraz Phew, okay, it came chopped and you just did the stacking part. I was kind of worried there for a moment. And now, I have a vision of you wielding a chainsaw!!

@alexink LOL. It's a very small chainsaw, and electric. I used to have a bigger petrol-driven one (still only medium sized) but ended up not using it much when we moved house so sold it.
