@ReaderJohn That’s a good conversation. Brooks, as always, says what I wish I had the words to say. He’s such a fine thinker and writer. Although all four are anti-Trump, Douthat and occasionally Stephens are less so than in the past. Although I voted McMullin in 2016 and would have voted French if he had come through as the original candidate, I can hardly read him now.
