📺 Watched Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 1 episodes 1 & 2, “Encounter at Farpoint.” As a kid, family viewing of TNG was one of my favorite things. I had an immense crush on Wesley Crusher (and still do on Wil Wheaton) and fancied myself a bit of a Spiner femme. The show aired fr... kimberlyhirsh.com

@kimberlyhirsh My wife and I are rewatching TNG too. Currently up to season 2, as I recall. Amazingly, “Encounter at Farpoint” wasn’t quite as cheesetastic as we remembered it (though still very cheesy).

@kimberlyhirsh We too just started watching TNG with our 8-year-old. We at episode 6 now in Season 1. We didn’t have American shows growing up in India so it’s first time for my wife and I too. I had seen some later-season episodes when we finally got cable @dejus

@pratik @kimberlyhirsh season 1 is pretty rough. Stick with it; it gets better in subsequent seasons.

@dejus @kimberlyhirsh For us, it was pretty cool. Our one national TV channel in India (now that’s socialism for ya) had an Indian version which was pretty bad (good at that time).

@pratik @dejus I saw most of them on original airing, so I'm using this article to skip around and catch only the best or most important of them.

@kimberlyhirsh @pratik Those are pretty good recommendations. I guess we’re up to season 3; just watched “Sins of the Father”. We’re completionists, though: we spent several years watching every single Doctor Who episode (as weekend morning during breakfast TV), even the storyboard-only reconstructions, then started on Star Trek with TOS, and will work our way through all of the sequels, most of which we’ve seen before.

@dejus I usually prefer to operate that way, but it doesn't fit with my life right now.
