I reached out to a blogger I’ve been following for a few months to respond to a post they made about feeling unappreciated. And they replied telling me my email meant a lot.

It can feel pretty lonely being a creator. I feel it. It’s hard going.

Anyone reading this, I appreciate you.

@aeryn I recently started a blog on Scribbles and it's easy there to see other bloggers recent posts. I've made it a habit to go through each day and send a few messages to folks just to let them know they have a reader. The response is almost always delight.

@amerpie this is what the blogosphere is all about. I love hearing from people. And I love reaching out too. Often I get too shy or something and don’t actually do it tho. Thanks 🤩

@aeryn The blogosphere can be a very lonely place! It's very easy to feel like you're wasting your time and no one's interested. I love it when people reach out, and I know I should do it more myself, but I too get shy about making contact 😊

@onewildcrow this is why I feel that “likes” have a purpose, to at least be acknowledged that you and your effort exists.

@bryan I agree, if only there was a way to "like" something without it become an empty or fake gesture like on FB!

@onewildcrow yeah I feel like that. Getting replies feel good and giving them does too. 🤩

I sometimes feel like I want to say something but I doesn’t know what 🤷‍♀️
