Markdown is overrated 🏃🏼♂️💨
@Gaby I literally only use the bold, italics, and link parts of it… everything else… meh.
@Gaby 😳🍿
@pratik @Gaby @nitinkhanna That’s the piece that always niggles me about Ulysses, the enhanced Markdown. I come back to Ulysses because of its look and folder layout…and then I get frustrated by its implementation of Markdown. I’ve tried to reason with myself over it, but no, each time it niggles me and I end up elsewhere. That and I like plain text files, but I could work round that much easier than the enhanced Markdown. 🤦♂️
@pratik aren’t images just links? Also, micro.blog’s iOS app features the three things I use in md and only those… 😊
@Gaby agreed, the CSS’s role. Boot offers some nice layout options though, it’s close to a sweet spot: blot.im/how/posts…
@pratik I with you on the like and dislikes. I see the potential for Workspaces in Drafts to fulfil the role of folders in Ulysses. I started a small personal project yesterday, already have three pieces of writing relating to it, all very different, but all accessible through a designated Workspace.
@pratik I think that is for me, I hate seeing the links and all that, it is messy and distracting. Then again, everyone has their preferences
@pratik it’s pretty easy to set up the workspaces … I use them to focus on things like forgotten notes … think of them essentially as a smart folder based on one or more tags.
@pratik I’d be happy to help. I have a few Workspaces set up, just get in touch when you want to.
