@kimberlyhirsh I read an article by author Chuck Wendig recently that discussed the same thing. It made me even more satisfied that I didn’t keep my Twitter account (not that I had a million followers, anyway).

@pimoore I keep Twitter because as an academic it provides me with a lot of valuable professional connections. If I were looking to use it for writing-related purposes, I would use it the same way, not with an eye toward building a platform.
