Debating with myself about regalia since I’m not going to an in-person ceremony. Definitely not trying to get the fancy stuff I dreamed of 10 yrs ago, but thinking maybe I’ll get a new hood & tassel + a souvenir tam. One hopes to only get a PhD one time, you know?

@kimberlyhirsh I didn't buy the regalia for my PhD ceremony. I regretted it. I ended up buying some a year later. Granted: as a professor, I actually wear the regalia once a year. If I never had the occasion to wear it, I would probably feel differently.

I say: you're right. You earned that hood and tam :)
