Next job - sort out the tasks in
Omni
Things
Reminders
My Rhodia
To get to one ‘integrated system’. This is going to be even harder!
@paulcraig901 i have been a loooong time user of OMNI … i use focus, graffle and outliner - over the years they have all got more feature rich, but the downside ... also more complicated.
I like Omni stuff, so when reminders was a simple task list - Omni was a natural choice. Likewise back when I was a lad and used windows - I used and loved visio - mainly before MSoft bought it. It was great and OmniGraffl was the mac way to do visio.
Back to reminders ... Things came out - and it is indeed a thing of beauty. It is pretty powerful - sometimes frustrating - but on the whole - nice.
NOW - back then - my life was also very different.
Today I do not need a fraction of the power of OMNI Focus - so for me REALLY, the choice is between Things and Reminders. Neither of which IMHO can deliver what Omni does if you are into SERIOUS task tracking .. which I don’t need.
Similarly - I don’t any longer really need the power of Graffl - as I used to - and for me - I can do a tonne of stuff in Keynote on the drawing front so graffl too lies unused.
Hope that helps.
@JohnPhilpin I’ve got OmniOutliner. For complex outlines, it’s really the only tool that works. I’m balancing a lot these days and will be for the foreseeable future. OF might be the tool. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate you.
@paulcraig901 no problem ... it’s a little easier to embrace these days .. dip your toe in with a subscription.
Agree re outliner ... it is.
