@Annie oh - clearly I am going to have to join in ... 🖇️ I already have a start - but maybe an opportunity to finish some parts and extend others - and of course you are asking more questions than I typically do.
Oh - and on drilling through - I see this was all stated by @rknightuk - and you will notice in that link above how I am already a big fan of @bjhess and his album whale - 🔗 where I keep some of these answers - it's all connected.

I very much am an artist first kinda guy .. then albums then tracks then singles
My new list is another based on artists not albums.
What would it take to modify album whale so a link like
Could be pulled to create a list about the people behind the music?
@JohnPhilpin Hmm, I’m not sure. Our music API source would need to support it, then we’d need to process it and build the data structures in our app to support that new type, and then display it. Unfortunately we don’t currently have any available time to enhance Album Whale’s feature set.
@JohnPhilpin It's a good thought! Though it's not quite what Album Whale was created for (a service for displaying albums and their artwork in a lovely layout), it could still be interesting.
