@JohnPhilpin Sooner or later, probably later, the law and electoral politics will catch up with them. No idea how, no idea what it will cost the country and the world, but Ima hang onto this belief, for which there are plenty of historical examples. (I’m thinking of Ruth Ben-Ghiat, Strongmen: Mussolini to the Present [Norton, 2020].)
