@moonmehta I read articles on Medium but only the ones not behind the paywall (not a subscriber).
@moonmehta They used to be quite good (in the sense that they helped with my coding question). Nowadays it is a bit of a hit and miss - would say 50%/50% chance between a good one and one just being a bit better than a listicle.
@V_ I use archive.ph and its browser extension to read whatever I want on Medium. It's the best paywall buster I have ever tried.
@moonmehta I do if they’re open to the public and someone shares a link. I don’t actively go there though. Any user hostile platform like that, I avoid.
Ultimately Medium’s business is making money, not sharing knowledge. That’s just a means to making said money.
@moonmehta Weirdly, I continued scrolling down my feed and saw this post. 😂

@moonmehta I can only comment on data science content, but IMO, you need to kiss a lot of frogs before finding anything decent on Medium (or Towards Data Science).
Unless it's been cleaned up recently, it's riddled with plagiarism and shockingly poor-quality posts written by wannabes and frauds trying to "influence" their way to a lucrative career.
There are exceptions, but the stench is contagious - I'm always genuinely surprised when I read a good post on Medium.
@lulu_powerful Thanks. I’ve certainly seen many influencer and marketing posts too.
