Interesting … using workflow to replicate a page of micro.blog posts into Bear 🐻 … repeat for my entire micro.blog history and I then have a fully searchable hyper-linked record … should work for what I need pending getting search really working on the site.
@adrianizq in one - yes - i have all my old 1999 posts now in micro blog so post count is a little large - part of issue is that the import has resulted in odd characters being used in place of (say) “ ‘ “ … so for one I want to clean the site as efficiently as possible - process is slow at the moment.
@adrianizq that said - even if all fixed i want search - even if it is only for me .... writing something from scratch and I want to cross reference to a micro blog post link - so need to find it.
@adrianizq ... ideally want it as a function on site. google is sunsetting their site reader. i enabled duck duck go but it isn’t that good. i have found a service called Algolia which on a WP site you can enable a plug in. Done that - works well,replaces native wordpress search
@adrianizq but Algolia implementation is possible on microblog - but more technical chops than I have seem to be necessary.
@JohnPhilpin ok.. guess I’ll have to wait until they add it. I’m currently looking for a good way to make a post with multiple inline photos. Currently my solution is to just post all the photos, then edit the post from the web and past in all my text and move the photos where I want in the post. Do you happen to have a better solution?
@adrianizq that is what I do - Post from sunset and add what is wanted there - it posts - and then edit on web to get the flow - EG text spread amongst photos
@JohnPhilpin I just found out about a new app in development called Micron that will support inline posting. I’m on the beta. Sounds promising.
