Well it is an experiment after all, but I am a little bit disappointed.
I kinda like Arc’s new AI search feature.
And you can set Arc as your default search on IOS in settings.
But, sadly the AI approach does not come front and center.
In face it is harder to get to than if you run a search directly from the app.
Or am I missing something?
@JohnPhilpin Do you mean the results are not as accurate than a normal search?
Type a search query and tap Browse for Me instead of tapping Go. It generates a page for you using AI. Thats the big feature of Arc Search on iOS.
I’m not sold on it yet.
@ericgregorich exactly .. the ‘browse for me’ . I kinda like .. and for 80% of my searches is just fine, surfaces good things quickly builds that little web page thingy .. really nice.
What I wanted is for that to be front and center when I just ‘search’ which is why I set it up to be default search .. but now not only is the browse for me not front and center, it seems to be buried somehow .. so it seems that I can get to where I want to more efficiently just by using the app .. unless I am missing something when it is the default search (which BTW is very possible).
