@JohnPhilpin I welcome those posts. I’ve been thinking along the lines of long-termism myself, although God forbid if we get long term politicians!
@odd glad it resonated. Thanks for letting me know.
Trying to deliver a (proper) post per day is not easy. Particularly when the topic can be anything. Seems wrong really, I expected that it would be easier than picking a topic - but curiously - not the case.
So hoping that as I go forward, comments will help me understand where it is resonating, which in turn can inform what future posts might be about.
Time will tell.
@JohnPhilpin As I understand it, China has a 100 year plan, and I don’t know if they revise it regularly, but the idea is compelling to me. However in my country, with 10-20 different political parties, I’m not sure how it would work.
@odd it won’t .. and yes ..the Chinese long game is famous. Did you ever read Shogun and others by James Clavell back in the day? There’s a quote in there that I will try to find.
@JohnPhilpin I only saw the miniseries with, I think it’s an Australian actor, Bryan Brown(?).
EDIT: Sorry, I was thinking about Tai-Pan. It was Richard Chamberlain, and yes, I saw it, but I really wasn’t old enough to neither see it or really remember much now.
@odd aah yes Tai Pan … forgot about the series … been years since I read the books … but I did … all of them .. even the ones that were 10cm thick 🤣
