What’s the recommended process for setting up a new Mac in 2023? Use Migration Assistant or start with a blank slate and move things over as needed / found?
@iChris I would go with the second approach. I used migration assistant to set up my mac late last year. And things weren’t working right afterwards. Took a lot of fiddling. But I’m a programmer so I need a working shell environment, etc. And it was my silicon transition as well, so YMMV.
@iChris I have been in the latter camp for many years … when I set up Jax’s machines she wants everything moved over … so in this house … there is no single way.
