🎬 When I read sometime next week about how Barbie is ‘out performing’ Oppenheimer at the box office, I will point people to this image. I admit it is but one theatre in the nation - but I bet the proportions of screens are about right.
@JohnPhilpin function of demand, right? If theatre owners think more people will come to see Oppenheimer, they will add more screens. Also, Oppenheimer is rated R so fewer pool of viewers anyway.
@pratik oh sure - totally get that and it is 50% longer - so even with the same number of screens with the same number of seats - it is going to 'lose' - which is why the 'biggest opening weekend' is a flawed metric.
