@joelhamill Every stinking year, the stinking instructor for the stinking Active Aggressor training (which we can’t outright call “crazy gun nut job terrorism prevention training”) says the same thing. “I wish it weren’t the case, but the sad reality is that today that these things happen and we need to be aware and prepared for them.” And everyone in the room nods in agreement. And I want to stand up and scream NO from the top of my lungs! I want to shout WE DO NOT HAVE TO ACCEPT THIS AS OUR REALITY! I want to shake them into understanding these aren’t natural disasters. These aren’t tornadoes or blizzards or even forest fires. These are COMPLETELY PREVENTABLE needless murders and massacres and terrorism fueled entirely by political corruption, ignorance and faux patriotism, and the utter bastardization of the second amendment. But I don’t scream any of that. I just sit there, purse my lips, and fume because ¯_(ツ)_/¯
@UndamnedOne Yup. I completely agree. It is completely mind boggling to me that American society has accepted gun violence as normal and part of live. Just mind boggling stupid.
