@mitchw it just gets in the way if you don’t want to use it …
.. Constant reminders if you aren’t logged on.
.. The little icon constantly needed to be moved to get to what you were trying to do.
.. The data reports tend are good, but don’t survive close scrutiny and eventually tends towards gamification.
@JohnPhilpin @mitchw If you are going to do any kind of long form writing (more than a micropost), I recommend turning it off for 30 minutes (setting in that little icon). But yes, I wish the default location of that little icon isn’t as intrusive especially in smaller text boxes.
@pratik I tend to be always making short notes and comments … if I did that it would always be off …
Oh, wait 😜
@pratik Good point. I have not yet tried writing anything serious with Grammarly activated.
I think Grammarly would be extremely intrusive while I’m still writing my rough draft and first draft. At that point I’m just trying to get ideas on the screen, and often I just ignore spelling errors and typos to keep the fingers moving creating new sentences.
@microblog I have not yet used Grammarly while writing anything important. I have only used it to check what I’ve written after the draft is otherwise complete.
I can’t imagine how data reports would be in any way useful. And I hate gamification!
