Obsidian users: what do you use for syncing across devices if you don’t pay any subs to Obsidian? On the Mac, do you put your vaults on iCloud Drive and let the “magic” happen? Asking for a friend. 🤫

@numericcitizen I'm using different approaches, sadly, and I'm not satisfied at all. I'm on the verge of paying the subscription, but I would still face issues because I'm not allowed to have my work-stuff synced externally. Currently I use iCloud for my creative vault (blogs, novel draft etc.) because it's the only way I can use it on the phone/iPad, Synology Drive or WebDAV for my private notes and OneDrive for my work vault. It's a mess…
@numericcitizen iCloud is my friend … also experimenting with Dropbox ….
@numericcitizen I have my vaults on iCloud, and it works well - even to my Windows PC. However, I don't have a restrictive work environment.
@numericcitizen Like others, iCloud syncs between my Mac, iPhone, and WinPC. I think OneDrive would also work but haven't tried that.
I even edited a .md file (w/o changing the file ext to .txt) directly in Notepad on Windows, hit save, then watched the same already-open note update on my iPhone a moment later. "Magic" indeed.
@numericcitizen I pay for sync as I like to have my notes on my Apple devices and my Android phone. I’m been really happy with it. Seems to work seamlessly and quickly.
