I know what they are trying to do. I wonder what percentage of subscribers they will lose?

@JohnPhilpin I read something recently — I can’t remember who wrote it but the tone was a bit like Terence Eden’s — saying that this kind of thing is a very bad idea. You should trust your readers to unsubscribe of their own accord if that’s what they want, and you shouldn’t force them to take action just to stay subscribed. Sure, you won’t know how many “subscribers” are reading your emails but you wouldn’t reliably know that anyway.
