Spotify’s move into podcasts siloed radio shows is an attempt to keep people in their walled garden concrete parking lot, because music was having significant impact on their bottom line. Looks like they have hit on their next ‘bottom line improvement’.

@alanralph i think the computer has been doing most of the work for a long time now. It's a long time since DJs on radio have had a real say in what they want to play. I really don’t know what people like Peel and Annie Nightingale would have done in these 'modern' radio times..

@SimonWoods never head of song exploder until now - so of course 'google'... and took a scroll through. I get what they are up to - just not a fan of the music they seem to be exploding. That said Rick Beato does a similar thing on his YouTube channel - with music that is more up my street.
