Readwise Reader is growing on me.
I spent some time learning how to configure it to my liking and learned some shortcuts. I removed most of the views, updated the swipe commands, and changed my Library Commands to only Later and Archive. Also, cleaned up my feed.

I haven’t changed my swipes - but the tuning you are doing is really important - started moving things around a couple of months ago and the difference in utilization is very tangible. I just wish they would make the filtering commands a little easier to use and more ‘human’.
@ericgregorich I’m loving it too but the app is very much a beta. Many things don’t often work as intended. Have you got the Daily Digest to ever work? Mine sends me a notification every day but gets stuck at creating it when you open it in the app @JohnPhlipin
@pratik I never enabled the daily digest.
I occasionally use the feed digest to quickly swipe through my feed.
@rcrackley yeah .. they have been full on extending functionality .. and they need a good UI lead. In fact the ‘app’ is so cluttered that they need two apps!
There would be a lot to write … what specifically can I help with?
@chrispederick Hmmm…strangely it doesn’t even work when I access it from the Views tab. Must uninstall and reinstall the beta.
@rcrackley assuming all that you have in the app is all that you want = then I think the decluttering is best done through rigorous tagging and then using ‘views’ to focus … I will try to write more around that … but were I to tell you that one of my tags is ‘no tags’ … which then gives me a place to manage some docs out , retag others - all seperate to new docs arriving.
If you need more on views, can try to write something suitable.
@rcrackley happy to offer any help if you get stuck … far from an expert … but sometimes you just need to know … for example I tneeded discord help from Daniel at Readwise to nail down the correct filter to isolate all entries that did not have a tag.
