@JohnPhilpin not out yet (hitting beta soon I believe), but Interlink may be of interest to you when it launches. Pinboard alternative from the developer of Pins (a pinboard app), that they started work on given the lack of activity with Pinboard. I believe you can move to Raindrop pretty easily too, but it’s been awhile since I did that.
@humdrum thankyou - i am in raindrop these days - my pinboard is definitely over full and stuffed with rubbish - last post there NOV '21 - so i clearly don’t miss it - more of an intellectual exercise at this point! raindrop is gettingg just as bad. but at least it is only a years worth :-)
@JohnPhilpin I moved from pinboard to raindrop last year. Much nicer experience! I try to keep my saved list < 50 or so, otherwise a service like this just becomes a junkyard no matter how nicely designed.
@JMaxB when i sort all the pinboard and current raindrop mess out - i think I will adopt that approach - my own browser bookmarks have the same issue!
@alanralph i keep looking at DEVONThink - 50% of the time I retry it - 100% of that time it doesn’t stick ... I know it is me!
@humdrum thanking
@alanralph @JohnPhilpin what’s the latest on Pinboard? I was an early user and don’t use it as much now but it does sit at the heart of how I sync bookmarks between browsers.
@BestofTimes I moved away from Pinboard about 18 months ago … to Raindrop. As far as I can see the price has doubled from the days I used it … and the ‘one man dev shop’ is non responsive to requests … though it does all seem to work and I got the bookmarks out easily enough.
What I will do with them is an entirely different question though … with the most likely answer being ‘nothing’.

@alanralph Thankyou … is on the Apple bookstore for free so got it and will read it next time I decide to check it all out.
@JohnPhilpin have you come across History Hound, from St Clair software? I found it in one of those Winterfests or Summerfests - It indexes and searches your bookmarks as well as RSS feeds you've visited recently. Maybe worth a look? www.stclairsoft.com/HistoryHo...
