Stop using Twitter to log in to other websites.
It’s a good reminder and off now to check what I have connected.
It does make me wonder if @dave has a ‘plan B’ for authentication to Feedland et al.

@JohnPhilpin I think he's working on getting Mastodon auth working. He posted a video demo a few days ago.
@lmika ah HA! Thankyou.
@JohnPhilpin -- i think that article is pure linkbait. anyway, im doing the best i can with the resources i have. its a free service. i wish people would do more to help rather than inventing new urgency. what would happen if for example you couldnt log in to feedland for a few days. youd still get youur news. try not to let jerks whip you up in a panic. ive done a lot more for you than he has, just sayin.
@dave very true and appreciative of it … and just watched your video with Mastodon logon log off … I was mainly thinking of reminding myself to check what Twitter is connected to in my case .. and then remembered Feedland and Drummer .. so a little bit of thinking aloud.
Re clickbait … yes .. kinda a shame what ZD has become … a shadow of its former self.
@JohnPhilpin -- yesterday a famous journalist who ought to know better did the same thing as the zdnet guy. he hadnt even tried feedland, just knew that he could get me on the defensive. at this point journos are by default full of shit, and they dont even seem to get that we know.
@JohnPhilpin -- anyway im sure theres more to it than just swapping in one system for another. the current identity system is tested and burned in. i did a fire drill like this with drummer, and lost a lot if time working with other users, and that really hurt the product. not going to repeat that mistake. going carefully and at a reasonable pace.
