Creative Commons is a thing I keep meaning to spend more time on, researching, thinking, writing about. It could be important and is at least significant enough of a presence on the web for those of us interested in an independent web to not forget about it.

@simonwoods Only recommended if you need sleep. I can answer pretty much most Creative Commons with caveat I am not a lawyer and I don't want to discuss nuances of fair use.

@jgmac1106 Ha! Yes, well, from what I have learned about fair use it's best to cover the broad and reliable use cases and leave the rest to people for whom arguing on the web is a hobby.

The EU copyright law so bad for the web. #creativecommons against it. @Mozilla against it.

So bad for the web……trying to appease publishers in dying industries.

@simonwoods We also have to remember that the European Union is about to vote on a copyright law that will destroy #creativecommons and force artists to monetize work. #mb
