Wish I had an appreciation for foreign languages growing up. I didn’t visit a non-English speaking county until I was 26; a holiday or school trip to Europe may have been transformative.
If it makes you feel any better ... I am English and didn’t live in England until I was ten - I wasn't even born in England.
That said - whilst I have an appreciation of foreign languages - I sadly only speak English.
