🎶 A ‘Read (actually - ‘Listen to’) it Later app for Music

I am a big music person but not sure I need this.

What am I missing?

@JohnPhilpin I might be reading it wrong, but it seems like this is creating a silo for music, that is, music that is only available on an Apple device. If I have that right, it is wrong, wrong, wrong. Music is always meant to be free, not limited to any particular platform, device or format. I suppose some will disagree with me. But I still think music should not be locked up in silos of any kind. 🎶

@Ron well certainly it seems to be an apple only app - but it works against apple and Spotify and Shazam - which granted is Apple …

“f you’re a music lover and use either Apple Music or Spotify, and if you feel like you discover more interesting music than you can possibly consume in a day, MusicBox is for you.

All this is is a way to better manage newly discovered music - so no silos - in fact it’s sharing functionality seems to do a better job of breaking the silo walls than any normal app.

2.99 - I might just breakdown …

@JohnPhilpin instabuy for me. Part of my workflow every Friday is going through new releases and adding anything that looks interesting to my library, which inevitably results in tons of garbage that I never go back to delete… this solves that for me.

@humdrum I succumbed - and since Albums is also part of my music world I just logged onto my LastFM account for the first time in years … what will happen?

No idea.

@JohnPhilpin So the music you listen to with it, I could listen to, if I wanted to, with my Android phone or Win 10 pc?

2.99 is no big deal, about half a gallon of gas. 😉

@Ron the music like all music can be listened to on your app and platform of choice … this app is specifically an iOS app so what is doing .. creating a list of tracks to listen to later .. is only on that app.

Eg I find a rare Bob Dylan track and share it with you in a message ..

You haven’t heard of it ( I know, I know … this is an ‘imaginary case’ ) but don’t have time to listen to it at that moment.

So instead you save the link to the app

When you do have time, you now have all the songs in the app which you can listen to in Apple Music or Spotify.

The app itself is iOS only … so to listen on Android and windows will require another link share - but the music is not in any listen later silo.
