@JohnPhilpin I've watched that video around 4 times now, it's thorough and clear and for me, it's best watched a couple chapters at a time. Thanks for the link on the Time piece, I read it and found the summaries somewhat lacking, in some cases citing something to Dan that he was summarizing from proponets (ie the topic of security). Also fascinating that the Time article was from published February 3rd and Tascha was quick to point out that there are alternatives to large centralalized sites like OpenSea, only to then observe in a tweet on April 10th that there's clearly very little traction on said alternatives (which actually reinforces Olson's point).
I've also found Molly White's longer essays and especially the collaboration she did with a bunch of other thoughtful folks, The Edited Latecomer's Guide to Crypto to be insightful. As an aside, I first encountered Dan Olson thanks to Kottke in 2020 from a video he did called In Search of a Flat Earth that is also worth a watch and very relevant to a lot still today.
