@JohnPhilpin Technically the parliament is elected to a five-year term and not the Prime Minister who is elected post-election by the majority party/coalition. But yeah, Pakistan has had its share of upheavals including military coups.

@pratik I knew about the upheavals - I did not know that it was pretty much a given!

I mean even Bhutto was pushed out - twice - funnily enough both times succeeded by the current incumbent's relative!

@JohnPhilpin if you go one PM before Zia, he was Benazir’s dad and was hanged. The opposition leader that ousted Imran Khan is Benazir’s son. It’s literally musical chairs out there.
