@alanralph well yes - and NZ has a lot of Englishisms floating around - some of them in such common usage that they think they invented them 🤪 It’s just that I think of argy bargy as such a slang phrase - didn’t expect it on the news .. I would expect something more like ‘fracas’ to be used? Or am I bothered about nothing?

“Argy Bargey” is definitely an expression I know and understand, just didn’t expect a Kiwi reporter to use it in the middle of their 6pm news report.
