Also, in Apple news, finally got to the bottom of an issue that was driving me (and my Air) nuts. High CPU from SystemUIServer, and the annoying fans going at all times. For months.
Date and Time on the menu bar! That was it. Turned that off, and the problem went away. Uff.
@JohnPhilpin @simonwoods I have not, but will. For now I'm enjoying the speed and quietness of the computer 🤣System date and time.
Everytime it would go into sleep mode, on it's own or because I'd put it to sleep, it would randomly wake up, fans blasting. It would also hang for minutes, unable to get the Wi-Fi working, and nothing would work.
Found someone online with the exact same problem, and that's how he solved it. Some people complained about the same issue with 3rd party menu bar items, but this one had the same problem as I did. The mouse pointer would work, but that was about it. When we hovered at the date and time it would beachball. Same as me.
Turned it off, and the computer is now acting normal. Everything works as it should.
