I haven’t had HBO for years. Now with HBO+ I can watch all of those critically acclaimed shows from years past that I missed. Finished True Detective last well. Just started the Wire.

@hawaiiboy what other services do you have - I keep thinking about HBO and then I look at Apple, Disney, Acorn, Netflix and Prime and …. which one(s) would I kill ?

@hawaiiboy These are awesome shows but are a slow burn. Don’t even try to binge.

@JohnPhilpin we cancelled cable earlier this year. Have Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO+, Peacock, Paramount and Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+ via the Disney bundle. I might be missing one. We actually watch them all. All of these and paying for broadband is $100/ month cheaper they cable was.

@JohnPhilpin We have Spectrum, pretty much the only choice. My wife works out of the house, and has since before COVID, so we need fast broadband, no TV attached. We can catch local news etc from our CBS affiliate on the Paramount app. about $60/mo for 400 Mbps

@JohnPhilpin I work a lot nights and my wife is home binging, plus our grandsons are over a lot. If really doesn't feel like we gave up cable.

@hawaiiboy interesting that spectrum let you have internet without at least basic tv - last time I looked ( at Comcast ) they wouldn’t let you do that - time to revisit

@JohnPhilpin That is what helped us make the decision. Hawaiian TelCom is a great choice for internet - DSL rather than cable, I had them before, but they don't cover where we live now.
