I think that a ‘few’ ‘giant’ ‘free’ services are at the tail end of life .. opening up to ‘many’ ‘focussed’ ‘paid’ services …
The guy that built the Google Ad business over google search thinks so.

@JohnPhilpin Getting the search results that I want without having spam or tracking in them is worth something to me.
@JohnPhilpin I think if the value is there, some people will pay. As long as there are search services that are free (no cost) and easy (to use), other search services will have a difficult time getting traction - witness the web browser market (how many browsers charge for a copy?)
