@crossingthethreshold It's a beautiful book. It was made into a pretty good movie; Anthony Hopkins nailed the narrator character, I thought.

@crossingthethreshold Ishiguro's ability to tell a story from completely within the narrator's own frame of reference, yet make perfectly clear to the reader what the narrator is missing and what it has cost him, is just astonishing. I need to read that book again too.
