@mwerickson Babette's Feast comes to mind (the film is from an Isak Dinesen short story).
@JimRain Such a beautiful film but I've never read the short story. Would you recommend that story by Dineson?
@mwerickson One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich possibly. It's been a while since I read it but the ending touches on gratitude even in the toughest of situations.
