Normally I wouldn’t pay for something like @StandardNotes when a free version exists, but their clean and customisable UI, strong privacy and cross platform apps makes it something I want to support.

@Burk Oh, and it has code highlighting support. Not that I'll probably ever use it but it's nice to have.
@svenseebeck I like both the mobile app (Android) and the desktop app (Linux). They both work fine normally, save a few things I wished they fixed on the Android app, but I think that's just a product of how Android works rather than the app.
Also I was on their twitter, and apparently earlier this year they changed the design, so it might do to check it out again to see if you like it.
@svenseebeck Also it looks like their desktop apps are just wrappers around the web version with offline features (Might be run on Electron? [Citation Needed]), it should look the same across platforms.
@JacksonOfTrades this is the first time I’ve heard of Standard Notes. Looks very interesting
@jmreekes I love it. Quickly bought the premium version after I realised it met all the requirements for my perfect writing app (From a blog post I wrote three years ago anyway).
@mikehaynes Same! I wish there were certain changes. Like Vim mode having text wrapping for example, but I realise it's probably for coding rather than writing.
Actually as I wrote the above I was searching through the documentation for Standard Notes seeing if I can edit the extension to get it to wrap. Will report back with progress.
@JacksonOfTrades I wish the extension were available for mobile, but it’s an excellent notes app. I’m loving it so far
@JacksonOfTrades I subscribed to the Pro/Extended version as well. The editors would be nice on the mobile app, but pretty much all the notes I take are plain text, so it’s not a huge deal.
@mikehaynes The weird thing is, word wrapping in Vim mode works fine on the web version of SN, but not the desktop, and I can't see any reason why one works but not the other.
