@Whalley_Ranger I only got into vinyl a few years ago. I get so much pleasure out of my collection.
@adoran2 a real risk! I had a favourite record get all warped when I left it on the player in the sun
@adoran2 Some friends of mine in the 1960s were dancing on a dock in the hot sun, playing Autosalvage on a portable record player. When the record got too warped to play, they'd put it back in its jacket, walk around on it to flatten it, dip it in the lake to cool it off, then play it some more. There's your solution!
@adoran2 This thread reminds me that I never forgave Mark Johnson for melting a favorite LP that I lent him ~56 years ago.

@adoran2 No, he didn't replace it. It probably was something like Blood Sweat & Tears' debut, but after 56 years, I've forgotten the details, remembering only the grudge.
